Raheel Yawar

Raheel Yawar is the grandson of Mohammad Yasin. For years he sat with his grandfather to record his life, from a childhood under British rule, through the upheaval of Partition, to decades in Pakistan’s military and the work of building a new country. The Keeper of the Lighthouse is the result: his attempt to preserve a witness account that would otherwise have lived only in family memory.

By profession, Raheel is a software engineer and game developer with a Master’s degree in Computer Science. This is his debut work of non-fiction.
